Dr Krishnaswamy has served as Chief of Pathology Laboratories at the Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre in Mumbai, has been a Borroughs-Welcome visiting Professor at Cornell University Medical College, New York Hospital and International Cancer Union Fellow and Visiting Scientist at a number of leading Institutes, such as the Weizmann Institute, Israel and Karolinska Institute, Stockholm. He was a special invitee of the Nobel Committee for Physiology and Medicine at the Nobel Awards Ceremony in 1985. He has helped plan and establish several healthcare institutions, and diagnostic centres such as Mallya Hospital, Manipal Hospital, Sagar and Kaveri hospitals.
